FAQs - Ivybank House Care Home - Bath

Q: What type of care do you offer?

At Ivybank House we provide residential, respite and day care.

We have a dedicated team of highly trained carers and district nurses visit the home daily and are available at any point should their services be required. GPs, dentists, and opticians also visit the home regularly and when needed.

Q: How will you help me settle in?

We do all we can to help our residents to settle in. We get to know our residents as individuals and ensure that we find out about their life stories, their preferences and what they like to do. This means we can tailor their care and experiences to suit them.

Before arriving, we encourage people to come for a visit, to take part in an activity, meet other residents and our caring team and enjoy a meal.

Residents can bring personal items and furniture with them to make them feel more at home in their room.

Q: Can I bring my pet?

Pets are welcome at Ivybank House, although of course there are some restrictions. Please do discuss this further with our home manager.

Q: How will I spend my time at Ivybank House?

How people spend their time is completely up to them. We encourage our residents to be as independent as possible and will assist them to be as active as they wish.

We have different activities every day and communal areas where residents meet and socialise. Our beautiful gardens are popular for those who want to sit and enjoy nature and we also have regular trips out in the home’s minibus.

Q: What is the food like?

Food is a priority for us here at Ivybank House. We want our residents to look forward to their meals and offer freshly prepared, restaurant-quality meals using high-quality ingredients.

We cater for specialised diets and for anyone who has specific needs or requires assistance with the meal preparation or enjoyment of their meal.
